Journal #4: Describe the circumstance in a film or book you are familiar with in which a frightening or unpleasant situation
made a character feel closer to a friend.
In the movie Sandlot Smalls hits the baseball, that was signed by Babe Ruth, over the fence. He did not know who
it was so he did not think that it was going to hurt playing a little ball with it. When he found out that Babe Ruth
was the greatest ball player of all time, he freaks out and he tries to think of every way possible to get it back. Benny
comes up with the idea of getting a new base ball untill they can figure out a plan that will work. So all the guys come together
to try and get the ball back for him so he does not get in trouble with his step-dad. This brought the guys together to try
and think of a plan. all the plans that they came up with did not work so in the end the verylast thing that Benny sugested
was that he go hop over the fence and get the ball before "The Beast" got it and ate it, like he did to everything else that
came into his yard. Benny gets the ball for Smalls and he is so happy that they got it back, of course it did not look
the same, but Benny had the courage to go over there and get it for his friend. This is what made the guys closer in
the end.
